Zumba
January is the time when so many of us are resolving to get more exercise. Let’s face it, most of us give up the workouts because they are simply all work and no fun, until NOW! If you haven’t tried the revolutionary “fitness party” workout and then it’s time you tried a Zumba class. Did you know Dr. Trina is a Zumba instructor? She is a part of the Louise and Team group of instructors who dance, shake, and wiggle showing off their Zumba moves in weekly classes in Carleton Place, Almonte, and Ferguson Falls. Yes, it’s that fun party class you’ve all heard about.
What is Zumba?
Zumba is a latin-based fitness class. It fuses different rhythms and beats and creates fun moves to create a dynamic workout that is FUN and EASY TO DO!
The routines feature interval-training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
Our Goal
We want you to want to work out, to love working out, and to get hooked. Integrate Zumba into your life to achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie burning, heart racing, muscle pumping, body energizing movements!
Who Goes to these Zumba classes anyway?!
Participants are mostly women who want to leave the day behind and come together to feel the music and energy in the room and laugh a little as we dance and wiggle. We have a range of ages anywhere from mid-twenties to early sixties, but there is always one common element: the goal to have fun and get a great workout!
What If I have two left feet?!
Many women think they can’t keep up with the steps, but to be honest most of us in the class are not natural-born dancers, nor do we care to get the steps perfect! Try not to get stressed out or frustrated with your first class as you may not be familiar with any of the Zumba moves but with only 3 or 4 basic steps per routine you start to pick it up in no time. And the best part about Zumba is you can do your own moves because we’re all just there to have fun!
So why am I telling you all about this? Because I love Zumba just as much as I love Chiropractic. I never get tired of teaching or just participating in a Zumba class. Many of my patients have discovered the fun of working out again without the usual tedious workouts.
